Like we mentioned on Monday, this week we had the great privilege to be a part of the LOVE OKC student conference in Oklahoma City. We had a blast and it was so awesome to show our support for these students who gave up 4 days of their summer, laid down some cash, and worked hard to paint houses for OKC locals. A painted house may seem like a non-essential, but for these people a painted house means they can take pride in their house, they can feel the goodness of love from strangers, and their house becomes more of a home. What a gift these world-changers gave!
So, the weekend is finally here! This week seemed to FLY by for us. How about you? I remember summer seemed to be endless when I was young, but now it is just gone in a flash. It makes you want to slow things down… hold onto the warm summer nights, the bonfires, the weekend getaways, the sun tans, the smooth iced coffees. I think summer is the season of making memories. When I think of summer I think of late nights of spontaneous adventure with friends. I think of hide and go seek in the dark and camping in the backyard. So many summer memories.
I encourage you to celebrate your summer memories. You probably have outgrown some of the memories and traditions, but make some new memories, and celebrate them. Do something fun. Find some adventure. Make memories this summer that will last you for the summers to come.
WHAT ARE YOU CELEBRATING THIS WEEKEND?
