If you are experiencing anything like I am here in Oklahoma, you are enjoying a rainy Friday afternoon. Enjoying it if you like the rain, not enjoying it if you don’t. But even if you woke up longing for the sun to shine and were disappointed to see the sky dark and wet, anticipate the life that will come not just after this rain, but from this rain.
We are taught in elementary school how the earth works. How it grows, produces, and comes to life in different ways throughout the year. Not all seasons are as pleasant as another, but all are necessary to sustain the beauty of the earth. Get the correlation?
Our own lives are filled with seasons. One may not be as pleasant as the other, but all are necessary. Rainy days like today are necessary and inevitable. But because we have the rainy days and the weary seasons in life, we will have the green, sunny, beautiful, fruitful days very soon. The flowers and green grass that will continue to appear are here because of the rain. You may question why you have to experience what you are experiencing, but know it has a purpose.
