Welcome to Friday.
Welcome to the last day of work for some, and the last day of school for others. Welcome yourself to a weekend of rest, no matter how much extra sleep you actually receive. Welcome yourself to a weekend of peace, no matter how chaotic it may be. Welcome yourself to a weekend of happiness, no matter how your week has been.
For some, this week may have been filled with the unexpected. It may have been down right terrifying. But now it is Friday. That means you made it through and are still breathing. Though you may feel exempt of blessing, that in itself is a great blessing. Celebrate that. You made it through that situation, tension, issue, emergency, pain, and you are still standing. Celebrate that.
For some, this week may have been filled with the unexpected. It may have been full of delightful unexpected treasures. But now it is Friday. That means one week is over and another week will soon begin. Celebrate your week’s accomplishments. Celebrate the joys, and let them launch you into another week expecting only the best. Don’t let anyone “rain on your parade,” but instead, invite someone to your “parade.” Share some happiness and joy with someone who may be standing on the sidelines envying your wonderful, blissful, parade.
Write a note inviting someone to the parade. Invite them to be encouraged, to know they are loved, to know you are thinking of them. Invite them to anticipate good things even if they haven’t been experiencing them lately. Not everyone knows the magic of the parade, but everyone wants to experience it for themselves. Everyone wants to be invited.
PHOTO PROMPT: Post a picture writing your sweet note to a friend or even a complete stranger. Celebrate them. Let them know their week may have been dreary, but the sunshine is coming out.
